Projects & Activities

All of our activities have as their goal the protection of the natural environment and support for the Xeni Gwet’in people of Tsilhqot’in in maintaining their chosen way of life within a sustainable economy. The Wild Horse Ranger program provides employment, protects wildlife and wild horses, and establishes a Xeni Gwet’in presence on the land.

Our own research and that of others we support, in concert with traditional First Nations knowledge, enhances understanding of ecosystems and enables wise decisions to be made regarding management of human activities that affect them.

Education initiatives are aimed at continuation of indigenous knowledge and language and consequent retention of a healthy First Nations culture and society. Public education through published articles and events inform the public about the local way of life and surroundings, and the need to provide protection and support for wildlife and the ecosystem.
